You’ll find us at number 5 in the Bhai Sohan Singh Market on S.D. College Road. It’s a lively spot because of the college nearby, so there’s always a lot of students and noise around. Kbs International is tucked in between a few other shops. We’ve been here for a while, and we’ve gotten to know the other shopkeepers pretty well. We share tea and complain about the traffic together. Our space is quite small, so we have to be smart about how we stack things. It’s not a place for someone who wants a quiet, air-conditioned experience. It’s more of a typical market shop where things are moving all the time. We handle a variety of stuff, and our desk is usually buried under a pile of notes and receipts. We don’t have any fancy mission statements or slogans. We just try to be helpful when someone comes through the door. S.D. College Road is always changing, new faces every semester, but the market stays pretty much the same. We like the energy of the place. It keeps us feeling young, even when the work is tiring. Most of the time, we’re just busy checking the stock or talking to suppliers on the phone. It’s a simple life, and we wouldn’t have it any other way. We just keep our heads down and focus on getting the orders right for whoever walks in next. It’s busy but we like it.
