Rathi Steel & Power Ltd.

Our branch of Rathi Steel & Power Ltd. is situated in Ranapur, which is in the Jajpur district of Orissa. It’s a bit of a rural setting, reached via Manashra. Life here is a lot slower than in the big cities, but the work we do is just as busy. We have a lot of space out here, which we need for all the steel processing. The air is often filled with the smell of industrial work and the sound of heavy equipment. We don't have a big fancy office building with glass windows. It's more of a practical setup with metal roofs and concrete floors. Most of the people working here are from the nearby villages and towns. We know each other well and there's a lot of talk about local news during lunch breaks. We don't use a lot of complicated business talk. We just focus on the steel and making sure the orders are ready when they are supposed to be. Sometimes the weather makes things difficult, especially during the monsoon, but we manage to keep things moving. It’s a tough job but it’s honest work. We don't spend money on big ads. People in the industry know we are here in Ranapur. We just show up every day, do the work, and try to keep everything running without too much trouble.
