Mideast Integrated Steels Ltd.

Our place is out in the Kalinga Nagar Industrial Complex, near Po Danagadi. It’s a huge area and it can be a bit overwhelming if you aren't familiar with the layout. Mideast Integrated Steels Ltd. has been part of this landscape for a while. The roads around here are always full of heavy vehicles, and the red dust covers almost everything. It’s an industrial hub, so there isn’t much in the way of greenery, just a lot of steel and concrete. We have a lot of people working here in different shifts. It’s a 24-hour operation most of the time. You can see the glow from the plant from quite a distance at night. We don’t really do much in the way of public relations. We just focus on the production side of things. The staff comes from all over the nearby villages and towns. We have a canteen where everyone grabs a bite during breaks, and that’s usually where the real news of the day gets shared. It’s a hardworking atmosphere. No one is here for the scenery. We deal with raw materials and high temperatures every single day. It’s demanding work and it keeps us on our toes. Sometimes equipment breaks down and we have to scramble to fix it, but that’s just life in a steel plant. We’re just one part of the big industrial machine out here in Danagadi.
