You can find us at C 103 in the Savitri Block, which is part of the Neelachal Township in Duburi. It is a bit of a trek to get out here if you are coming from the main city, but it’s where we are set up. The township is a self-contained place. We have our office right here among the residential blocks. It makes for a very short commute for some of us who live nearby. The 755026 area is quite industrial once you step outside the township gates, but inside it is a bit more peaceful and quiet. We have a simple office with a few computers and a lot of paper ledgers. There is a small window that looks out onto the courtyard where people sometimes hang their laundry or sit on the benches to talk. It is not a high-pressure corporate environment at all. We just do the tasks that come our way each day. Sometimes we have tea together in the afternoon and talk about what’s happening in the Jajpur district. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but it doesn’t really affect the quality of the work we do. We’ve been in the Savitri Block for several years now. It feels more like being part of a big family than just going to a job. Most of the people living around here also work for the organization, so there is a lot of shared history. It’s just a quiet, functional spot in Orissa.
