White Peacock

White Peacock has a couple of spots, but we mostly work out of 11/7B on Govind Marg in Rajapark and another place at Plot No. 7 in Patel Nagar, which is behind Keshav Vidyapeeth in the Jamdoli area. Rajapark is a very lively neighborhood with lots of shops and people walking around at all hours. Our space there is always a bit cluttered with samples and different items we are working on. Then we have the Jamdoli location which is a bit quieter, being further out near the school. It is a bit of a commute between the two, but we have managed to make it work for a long time. We do a lot of things related to clothes and fabrics, which is why you will often see heaps of colorful textiles lying around if you drop by. It is not a very organized-looking place, but we know where everything is. The staff is mostly local people who live nearby. We do not spend money on fancy marketing or big ads. Word of mouth seems to work okay for us. Sometimes we have tea brought in from the stall at the corner of Govind Marg and we chat about the day’s tasks. It is a very relaxed atmosphere, maybe a bit too relaxed sometimes, but the work gets finished. We like being part of the Jaipur community and seeing our things being used by people in the city and beyond.
