Patson

Patson is located at No. 6-A on the upper ground floor of the Shekhawati Complex. We are right on Station Road, very close to the Polovictory Cinema, which is a landmark everyone knows. The area is always crowded with people coming from the railway station or going to see a film, so there’s a lot of energy right outside our door. Our shop is relatively small, but we’ve made use of every inch of space. We have shelves that go all the way to the ceiling, filled with all sorts of items we’ve collected and sold over the years. It’s the kind of place where you might find something you weren't even looking for. We have an old ceiling fan that clicks on every rotation, but we’ve stopped noticing it after all this time. The counter is where we spend most of our time, chatting with locals and handling the daily business. We don't use any fancy computer systems for everything; we still like our handwritten notebooks for some things. It feels more personal that way. The light coming in from the front door is usually the brightest part of the shop. We’ve been here long enough that we’ve seen the cinema change owners and the shops around us come and go. We just keep doing what we do, opening up every morning and staying until the evening rush dies down. It’s a busy, cramped, and friendly little spot. We hope to stay here for many more years.
