Bageecha

Bageecha is located at Plot 1 on the Ajmer Highway, out in the Virdhman Nagar part of Jaipur. Since we are right on the highway, we get a lot of people stopping in as they drive between cities. It’s a bit away from the main chaos of central Jaipur, so it feels a little more relaxed here. We have some outdoor space which is why we call it Bageecha. It’s nice to sit out when the weather isn't too hot. We serve food and provide a place for people to stretch their legs. The staff is just a few local people who have been with us for a while. We don’t have a fancy dress code or anything like that. It’s a casual spot. We grow a few things in the garden area when we have the time. The building itself is simple. We try to keep the bathrooms clean because we know that’s what travelers care about most when they stop. The highway can be noisy with the trucks going by, but we have enough space that it doesn't bother you too much once you're inside. We’ve been here for several years now, watching the highway get wider and busier. We don't do much in the way of promotion. If people like the food and the atmosphere, they usually stop again the next time they are on the road. It’s just a honest place to grab a bite and take a rest before heading back out.
