S S Collection

Being in Johari Bazar means it’s always crowded outside. We are located at 143 on K G B Ka Rasta. If you know this area, you know how narrow the lanes can get with all the shoppers and rickshaws pushing past each other. Inside S S Collection, things are a bit more organized, but it’s still a lot of work keeping the clothes folded. We spend a big chunk of the day just putting things back after customers look through them. There’s a lot of fabric everywhere. We have different stuff hanging up on the walls and piled on the tables. It's a local shop feel, nothing like those big malls with the glass elevators. We know most of the other shopkeepers around here. Sometimes we sit outside on the step when it’s quiet, just watching the people go by. The lighting inside is a bit yellow, but it shows the colors of the clothes well enough. We keep the fans running high because it gets quite stuffy in Johari Bazar in the afternoons. Finding space for new stock is always a bit of a puzzle. We have to shift things around constantly. 143 is our little corner in this busy market. It’s not fancy, just a place where we sell clothes. People come in looking for something specific and we try to find it in the stacks. It’s a long day from morning till the market closes.
