Milan Shop is tucked away in Bani Park at the corner where Shankar Marg meets Todarmal Marg, at E-7. It’s a quiet residential area compared to the main markets, but we stay busy enough. We are a small local shop selling everyday items. You might find snacks, some basic groceries, or household things people run out of. The shop is small and the aisles are narrow. We try to fit as much as we can on the shelves. Most of our customers are people who live in the houses nearby. They come in for a loaf of bread or some milk and stay to chat for a few minutes. We’ve seen the kids in the neighborhood grow up. We don't have a big staff, it’s usually just one or two of us behind the counter. Sometimes the delivery truck blocks the narrow street for a bit and neighbors complain, but we try to be quick. We have a small fridge for cold drinks which is very popular in the summer months. The sign outside is a bit faded from the sun. We don't do any big promotions or sales. We just open the doors in the morning and wait for the regulars to show up. It’s a comfortable life in Bani Park. We know who likes which brand of tea and who always forgets their change. It’s just a neighborhood shop doing its thing on Todarmal Marg.
