Vinayak Turners is located at F-428-A on Road No 14 in VKIA. This is an industrial spot, so it’s mostly machines and metal around here. We spend our days working on the lathes and making sure the parts are cut right. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings and some oil, which is normal for a workshop like ours. It gets quite loud when all the machines are running at the same time. We have been in this unit for quite some time now. It’s not a place for sitting around in clean clothes. Most of us have grease on our hands by ten in the morning. We take breaks when we can, usually having a quick tea near the entrance. The street outside is always full of trucks and other workers from nearby units. We just focus on the drawings and the turning work that needs to be done. It’s a straightforward business. We don’t have a fancy office, just a small cabin with a desk and some chairs that have seen better days. Road No 14 is a busy place to be. We keep the machines maintained as much as we can. It’s just how things are at Vinayak Turners. We show up, do the turning work, and head home when the sun goes down. It’s hard work, but it’s what we know. The metal smell never really leaves your clothes even after washing them.
