We’ve been here at Sikar Road for quite a while now. If you go down Road No 8, right across from Sharma Dhaba, you’ll find our shop. It is a busy spot with all the trucks passing by. Most days we are just busy sorting through different sizes of bearings and checking our stocks. It’s a lot of metal and grease, to be honest. People come in looking for specific parts for their machines or vehicles, and we try to find what fits. Sometimes the shop gets a bit cluttered because there are so many boxes on the floor. The heat out here on the road can be something else in the summer, but we just keep the fans going and get on with the work. We don't really do fancy displays or anything like that. It is mostly just shelves filled with what people need for their equipment. My father started things out years ago, and now we just carry it on. Some customers have been coming to us for a long time. They know the landmark of the dhaba well. It’s easier to tell people that than giving the exact number over the phone. We spend most of the morning unloading new arrivals and the afternoons helping people who stop by. It isn't a glamorous job, but bearings are important for everything that moves. We keep a simple ledger for everything. It's just a practical place where we know our items and we know the people around here.
