Venus Textiles & Handicarft Emporium

We are located right at 122 Hawa Mahal Road, very close to the Hari Mistthan Bhandar. If you know that sweet shop, you can't miss us. Being so close to the Hawa Mahal means there are always tourists walking by, but we get a lot of local folks too. Venus Textiles & Handicarft Emporium is a bit of a mouthful for a name, but we’re really just a shop filled with local crafts and cloth. The place is packed with things we’ve collected—block prints, hand-stitched items, and all sorts of textiles. It’s a bit dusty sometimes because the road outside is always busy with traffic and people. We don't have a big marketing budget or a website designer. We just put our things out where people can see them. Sometimes we sit on the stools outside and watch the crowds go by when it's slow. We’ve seen a lot of changes on this road over the years, but our shop stays pretty much the same. We handle everything ourselves, from unpacking the bundles to helping people find a gift. It’s not a high-end boutique with air conditioning that freezes you out. It’s just a comfortable, honest place where you can find something made by hand without all the extra polish. We just keep things simple. There isn't much more to it than that.
