Our place is right at Badi Chaupar, near the Hawamahal area. It is a very busy part of the city. You can hear the traffic and the crowds all day long from where we are at number 15. The shop is small and tucked away in the Khanda. We have been here for a long time. Most of our day is spent greeting people who are visiting the monuments or just passing through the market. It gets very crowded on the weekends. We have a lot of items crammed into the space we have. Sometimes it’s hard to move around when we have a new shipment. We don't really bother with much decoration ourselves. The items we have are what people come to see. We just sit on our stools and wait for the next person to walk in. It’s a lot of talking and showing things. The air gets quite warm in the afternoons because of all the stone buildings around us. We usually have a fan going, but it doesn't do much when the sun is out. We know all the other shopkeepers around here. We help each other out when needed. It’s a tight community in this part of town. We don't have a website or anything like that. If you want to see us, you just have to come down to the Chaupar. We are always here from morning till late evening.
