You can find All Rajasthan Cottage Industries right by Jorawar Singh Gate on Amer Road. It is an old part of the city. The gate is huge and made of stone, and we are just right there. Amer Road is always packed with people, especially tourists going up to the fort. We see elephants and camels passing by sometimes. It is a very traditional place. Our shop is filled with things from all over Rajasthan. We do not have a polished showroom. It is more like a crowded storehouse where you have to look through piles to find things. The walls are thick and stay relatively cool even when the Rajasthan sun is beating down outside. We spend our time talking to visitors and showing them the work. There is always a layer of fine dust from the road, no matter how much we sweep. The floor is old stone. We do not use fancy marketing. People usually find us because they are walking toward the gate. We have some tea with the neighbors in the mornings before the rush starts. It is a very old-fashioned way of doing business. We have been at this address for many years. We do not plan on changing much. We just keep the doors open and wait for the next person to walk in through the archway. It is just the way things are done on Amer Road.
