Amit Handicraft Emporium

Amit Handicraft Emporium is located at Subhash Chowk, specifically at number 50 in the Hawa Mahal Bazar area. It’s a very busy part of the city, right in the middle of all the tourist action and the old markets. Our shop is full of things we’ve gathered or made—lots of carvings, fabrics, and small gift items. It can get a bit cluttered because we have so much stock tucked into every corner. We’ve been at this location for years. The Hawa Mahal is just a short walk away, so we see a lot of travelers passing by. We don't do much in the way of fancy displays. We just put the items out on the shelves and let people look around. My family has been in the handicraft trade for a long time, so we know where to find the good stuff. It’s a lot of dusting and rearranging to keep everything looking okay. The noise from Subhash Chowk never really stops during the day, with all the rickshaws and horns. We just sit on our stools, talk to the customers, and keep an eye on the shop. It’s a practical business. We don’t make big claims about being the best; we just show people what we have and tell them the price. It’s simple and it works for us.
