Vegetarian Paradise

Vegetarian Paradise is a small place at 135 Shyopur Road in Pratap Nagar. We decided to stick to only vegetarian food because that’s what we know best. The shop isn't very large, just enough space for about six or seven tables. We keep things very simple here. The menu doesn't change much because people like the regular dishes we make. We have a small stove and a couple of big pots. Every morning starts with chopping vegetables and getting the lentils ready. It’s mostly just us and one helper in the back. The walls have a few old pictures on them and the lighting is a bit dim in the corners. Families from the nearby apartments come in for dinner when they don't feel like cooking at home. We know who likes extra spice and who wants less salt. It’s not a polished restaurant with waiters in uniforms. We just wear our regular clothes and bring the food out when it’s hot. Sometimes the sink leaks a little bit or the front door squeaks. We don't mind the small problems. It feels like home to us. We’ve been on Shyopur Road for a good while now. We don't do much advertising. People just know we are here at number 135. It’s a quiet, honest way to earn a living and serve the neighborhood.
