Vasundhara Dairies

Vasundhara Dairies is tucked away in Roshan Park right across from where the Naveen Fracture Hospital is. If you know that part of Vaishali Nagar in Chitakoot you know it gets pretty busy with people coming and going from the hospital all day. We start our work way before the sun is even thinking about coming up because the milk doesn't wait for anyone. The floor is usually a bit wet from washing down the cans and the air smells like fresh cream and cold water. We have been at 1/61 for a long time and the walls have a few scuffs where the crates hit them every morning. People from the neighborhood stop by early to get what they need for their tea or for the kids' breakfast. Sometimes the traffic outside gets a bit loud with the ambulances and the cars but we stay focused on the bottles and the packets. It’s a repetitive job but there is something nice about the routine of it all. We don’t have a fancy website or a marketing person telling us what to say. We just make sure the milk is ready and the fridge is running right. The cooling units make a constant humming sound that you stop hearing after a while. When the afternoon rolls around things quiet down a bit and we get a chance to clean up for the next morning. It’s honest work.
