Swad Khazana

Our shop is on Power House Road in the Sen Colony area of Jaipur. We are right opposite the railway station on Station Road. Because of the location, we see a lot of people who are just passing through the city. Some are coming home after a long trip and others are just starting one. We try to keep things moving fast because nobody wants to miss their train. I took over this place from my father a few years ago. He always said that hungry travelers are the most honest critics. We don't have any fancy decorations on the walls. It’s just a plain room with enough tables for people to sit comfortably. The traffic outside is always loud with horns and rickshaws, but inside it’s a bit more relaxed. We serve a bit of everything, from tea and biscuits to full meals if someone has the time. The kitchen is right at the back and it stays hot all day. We use a lot of local ingredients that we buy from the station vendors. We don't have a big marketing budget or a social media page. Most people find us just by walking across the street from the platform. We just want to make sure the food is decent and the price is fair. It's a busy life being so close to the station, but we enjoy meeting different people every day from all over.
