Vardan Jain

Our place is at A-52 Hatwara Road, right in the Khadi Colony area. Vardan Jain is the name on the door, but it’s really just a small workspace where we handle our daily business. Hatwara Road can be quite a mess during rush hour, with all the rickshaws and carts going by. The colony itself is a bit more tucked away, but we still get plenty of noise from the main street. The office is on the ground floor, which is handy for people who can't do stairs. Inside, it’s mostly shelves filled with boxes and some old desks. We keep it simple because we don't need much to do our work. We drink a lot of chai throughout the day, usually ordered from the stall at the corner. There’s a specific smell of old paper and dust here, which is just part of the atmosphere. We don't have a big team, so everyone knows exactly what to do when they come in at nine. We don't spend money on fancy marketing or advertisements. People mostly find us by word of mouth or by just seeing the address. It’s an old-fashioned way of doing things, but it works for us. We just focus on the task in front of us and try to get home before it gets too dark. The rainy days are the toughest here because the road gets muddy.
