Om Bag Co

We are located over here near Ghat Gate, tucked into Ragaron Ki Kothi at number 3531. This is Om Bag Co, and it’s in an old part of the city that stays busy from dawn till dusk. My father started this bag making business a long time ago and we’ve just kept it going the same way. The space we have is a bit cramped because we keep so many rolls of fabric and stitching machines everywhere you look. You really have to watch your step when you walk inside the workshop. We make all sorts of basic bags. Nothing too fancy or stylish, just the kind of bags that actually hold up when you use them. People come by and tell us what they need for their specific purpose, and we try to make it work. The lane outside is quite narrow, so it’s always a struggle for big trucks to get through to us. Usually, we just load up the cycles or small rickshaws to send out the orders. It gets incredibly hot in the summer under our tin roof, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We don't have a website or anything modern like that. If someone wants to see our work, they just come directly to the shop. We know almost all the neighbors around here. It’s a noisy place with constant sounds from the street, but we just keep our heads down and finish the stitching. It's home for us and our machines.
