Tushar Handicraft & Saree Emporium

If you are in Jaipur, specifically in the Vaishali Nagar area, you might have seen our place. We are over in Chitrakoot. Tushar Handicraft & Saree Emporium is the name on the board above the door, though the paint is starting to peel a bit now. We deal with sarees and different handcrafted items that come from villages around the state. The shop has that specific smell of old fabric and wooden boxes. We aren't in a big fancy shopping center; we're just a standalone spot on the street. Jaipur gets incredibly hot in the summer months, so we spend a lot of time sitting under the old ceiling fans. We have been here for years, and the neighborhood has changed a lot since we first opened. More big buildings have gone up, but we are still in the same spot. We don't really do the whole social media or internet thing. People mostly find us because they live nearby or their relatives told them about us years ago. We keep our stock in big piles and inside those old wooden cupboards. It takes a while to pull everything out to show a customer, but we don't mind the time. It is just part of how we work. 302020 is our local code. We just try to keep the traditional styles going in our own small way. It’s not a big operation, just us doing what we have always done.
