Our business, Sudh Deshi Ghee, is located near the Jaipur G P O. We don't have a big factory or anything like that. It’s a pretty straightforward operation where we deal with ghee every day. You can usually smell the place before you see the sign. We spend a lot of time checking the quality and making sure everything is stored in the right kind of containers. The post office area is a central spot, so we see all kinds of people passing by. We aren't interested in fancy packaging or marketing tricks. We just sell ghee in a way that’s been done for years. It’s a staple in every kitchen around here, and we understand how important it is for the food to taste right. Sometimes we are busy filling tins, and other times we are talking to the suppliers who bring us the raw material. Our shop is simple, with just enough room for the stock and a small counter. We don't have a lot of staff, just a few of us who know the business inside out. We don't use any complicated words to describe what we do. We just provide something that people use every day for their cooking. It’s a quiet, steady kind of work that keeps us connected to the local community and the traditional ways of doing things in this part of Jaipur city.
