Siya Ram Tiffen Centre

Siya Ram Tiffen Centre is located at 54, Keshav Ngr. We are right near Nandpuri Choura in the Civil Lines area. Most days start very early for us, way before the sun is actually up. We get the stoves going and start the prep work. There is a lot of chopping vegetables and boiling water. It’s a simple setup we have here. We don’t have any fancy machines, just regular pots and pans like you’d find in any home kitchen. The Civil Lines area is usually quiet in the early hours, but it picks up once the traffic starts at the Choura. You can hear the horns and the people outside while we work. It’s a bit of a routine. We fill the tiffins one by one and make sure they are packed tight so nothing spills out during delivery. Sometimes the heat in the kitchen gets to be a lot, especially in May and June. We just drink some water and keep moving. We’ve been at this address for quite some time now. People around Keshav Ngr know us as the place that’s always busy in the morning. We don’t do any big advertising. If the food is okay, people come back. That is how it has always been for us. It is hard work, standing for hours, but it’s what we do. We just keep our heads down and get the tiffins ready for the day. It keeps us busy and out of trouble.
