Simmi Exports

Simmi Exports is tucked away at House No. 2228 in Siwad Modikhana. We are right in Bakliwal Ki Gali, which is a small lane off Kishanpole Bazar. If you know Jaipur, you know how crowded and lively Kishanpole Bazar can be. It is an old part of the city with a lot of history in the walls. Our place is an old house that we use for our export work. The stairs are narrow and the rooms are full of boxes and fabric. It is not the most organized looking place, but we have our own system. There is always noise coming from the street—vendors calling out and scooters honking. We have been here for a long time. The family has lived and worked in this area for generations. We don't really do the corporate thing with meetings and presentations. We just talk across the room while we work. Some days we are packing boxes until late at night to get them ready for shipping. It is tiring but it keeps the lights on. We don't use fancy English or try to act bigger than we are. We are just a small export business in a narrow lane of the old city. It is a busy life, but we wouldn't know what to do with ourselves otherwise. Every corner of Bakliwal Ki Gali feels like home to us now. We just do our work and hope for the best.
