You can find us out on Ajmer Road in the Mahapura area. It’s a bit of a drive from the middle of Jaipur, but it’s a good spot for people heading out of the city. We have several freezers humming away all day and night to keep everything cold. In the peak of summer, it feels like a constant battle against the heat. We spend a lot of our time making sure the power doesn't go out, because that is the worst thing that can happen in our line of work. The shop is simple, with just a few places for people to stand or sit while they eat. We see a lot of families on the weekends who are taking a break from their drive near the Jaipur G P O route. It’s usually messy, with some melted drips on the floor that we have to mop up every few minutes. The Mahapura stretch is getting more crowded lately, but it still feels a bit like the outskirts. We don't do any fancy marketing, we just keep the sign lit up so people can see us from the road. The evenings are when it gets really lively, especially when the weather is actually nice for a change. We just keep the freezers full and hope the generator stays working when the electricity cuts. It’s a straightforward business, just selling cold treats to whoever stops by. We aren't some big chain, just a local spot.
