Shreenath Dairy

Shreenath Dairy sits right on the main M I Road, at number 41357. Being on a main road means there is never a quiet moment. We start very early in the morning, usually before the sun is even up, because that’s when the milk arrives. The smell of fresh milk and curd is always in the air here. We have a few big refrigerators that hum all day long to keep everything cold. The floor is often a bit wet because we’re constantly cleaning up or moving crates around. It’s a simple dairy shop, nothing fancy about it. We have the usual stuff like milk, butter, and some sweets we make. People stop their cars or bikes right outside on M I Road to grab what they need for breakfast. Sometimes we run out of things by midday if it's a busy festival season. The walls have some old tiles and the counter is made of heavy wood. We don’t have a big team, just a couple of us working the shifts. It’s hard work, especially in the summers when the heat makes everything move a bit slower. We’ve been at this spot for a long time and the regulars know our faces. We don't use any fancy packaging, just the standard stuff. It is just a local dairy doing its daily business on a very busy street. We keep the books manually and focus on getting the crates in and out. There is a small clock on the wall that is always five minutes fast.
