If you have ever been down Sansar Chandra Road, you know how hectic it gets. That is where we operate Shree Vikarm Goods Transport Co. We are specifically located on Hans Marg, which is a bit of a tight squeeze for some of the bigger vehicles but we make it work. Every morning starts about the same way. We open up the shutters, check the logbooks, and see what needs to go where. There is always a lot of noise from the street, horns honking and people shouting, but after a while, you just stop hearing it. We have been in this spot for a while now. Hans Marg has changed a lot, but the work we do is pretty much the same. We handle a lot of different goods coming through this part of town. Sometimes the paperwork gets a bit messy or a driver is late because of the traffic on Sansar Chandra Road, but we usually sort it out. It is just a small team of us here. We don’t spend much time on fancy talk. We just focus on the trucks and the boxes. The office is small and filled with old files and maybe a few stray cats that wander in from the street. It’s a practical business. We drink a lot of chai to keep going during the long afternoons. Most of our neighbors are doing similar work, so there is a sense of community even when things are stressful and the heat is really getting to everybody in the office.
