Shree Shyam Transport Company

Our office for Shree Shyam Transport Company is right on R K Marg, just off Sikar Road. It’s a dusty part of town because of all the construction and the heavy vehicles passing through. We’ve got a small space where we manage all the transport stuff. There’s always a layer of dust on the windows no matter how much we wipe them. Most days start early here, usually before the sun is fully up, to get the drivers on their way. R K Marg can get pretty congested, so timing is everything. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that. If the phone rings, whoever is closest picks it up. We’ve got some old wooden benches for drivers to sit on while they wait for their papers. It’s a simple setup. We deal with all sorts of loads, some big and some small. Sikar Road is a main artery, so we see a lot of different faces every day. We don't bother with fancy uniforms or slick presentations. We just focus on whether the trucks are running right and if the cargo is secure. It gets loud with the horns honking outside, but we’ve learned to talk over the noise. It’s a straightforward life here at the shop, just keeping the transport moving and making sure everyone gets where they need to go. We keep the ledger updated by hand mostly.
