Our small office is tucked away in the Riico Commercial Complex at VKIA, specifically at P-3 - 55 on Road No 14. This part of town is always buzzing because of all the factories and warehouses nearby. You can hear the sounds of heavy machinery and trucks from morning until the sun goes down. We have been operating from this same spot for a long time now, and the walls are mostly covered with old calendars and maps of the highway routes. It is a very functional space where we manage the logistics for moving goods. The commercial complex gets really crowded in the middle of the day, which makes it a bit of a struggle for the larger trailers to navigate the turns. We spend a huge chunk of our time on the phone coordinating with different warehouses and suppliers. It is not the kind of job where you can sit still for very long. There is always someone walking in to get a delivery note signed or a driver asking for directions to a specific gate. We keep a water cooler in the corner that stays busy during the hot months because the heat in the industrial area is no joke. Most of the people working here live in the colonies nearby, so we are a pretty tight-knit group. We don’t do any fancy marketing; usually, the people in the industrial area just know where to find us when they have a load.
