We have been here at 52 Sansar Chandra Road for a good while now. It is a busy part of town and there is always something going on outside the door. Most days start early with tea and looking over the logbooks. Shree Ram Golden Transport Corporation is not some big fancy office with glass walls. We just have our desks, the phones, and the drivers coming in and out. Sometimes the traffic on the road makes it hard to get the trucks parked, but we manage. People stop by to ask about moving stuff to different cities. We tell them how it is, what the cost is, and when it might get there. It’s mostly just paperwork and making sure the loaders know what they are doing. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, honestly. But the work gets done and that is what matters at the end of the day. You see the same faces every week, mostly local guys or regulars who have been using us since we opened. We don’t do anything too fancy. It’s just about getting the goods from point A to point B without a lot of fuss. Sometimes there are delays because of the weather or some road repairs, and we just have to deal with it as it comes. It’s a simple business. We keep our keys on the rack and the register on the table. If you walk past the shops on Sansar Chandra Road, you’ll find us right there among the rest.
