Sankhala Selection

Our place is right there at Ajmeri Gate, specifically in the Golcha Trade Center. We are on the ground floor at A-7/9, which is lucky because nobody has to climb any stairs. Being so close to the Police Control Room means there is always something happening outside. It’s a loud area with all the horns and people moving toward the gate. Inside Sankhala Selection, things are a bit quieter, though we keep the doors open most of the time. The floor is that old tile that’s seen a lot of feet over the years. We spend a lot of our time just organizing the stock on the racks. Sometimes the lighting in the back corner flickers a bit, but we’ve gotten used to it. The trade center has a lot of different businesses, so you meet all kinds of people in the hallways. We don’t really do much advertising or anything like that. People just wander in while they are out shopping near Ajmeri Gate. We usually have a radio playing somewhere in the background to pass the time when it’s slow. It’s a decent spot to work from. We’ve been here long enough that the tea stall guy knows exactly how we like our chai. It isn't a fancy corporate office, just a regular shop where we do our work and go home at the end of the day. It’s been this way for years and we don't expect it to change much.
