Our place is on Tonk Road in the Mahaveer Nagar area. It’s a busy part of town and there are always vehicles moving past. We deal with trucks and moving goods from one place to another. Most of the time, the yard is full of drivers coming and going. They have their own stories from the road. We spend a lot of time on the phone checking where the loads are. It is a lot of coordinating and making sure the drivers know where they are supposed to head next. The office is usually a bit dusty because of all the traffic on Tonk Road. We don't mind it much. There are stacks of logbooks and delivery receipts everywhere. Sometimes a driver comes in tired and we give them some water and let them rest a bit before they go again. It’s a tough job but it’s what we know. We have been working out of this location for quite some time now. You see the same faces often. Neighbors stop by to complain about the noise or just to say hello. It feels like a small community even though we are on such a big road. We keep things moving as much as we can. It isn't a very glamorous life, just a lot of logistics and heavy lifting and hoping the weather stays clear for the long hauls. We just stay focused on the work in front of us.
