Samar Textile Emporium

We have been running Samar Textile Emporium here on Hawa Mahal Road for quite a few years now. Our shop sits right opposite Bajdaron Ki Mori, which is usually a very busy part of the street. It is not a very large place, but we keep it packed with all sorts of textiles. You can find different fabrics piled up on the shelves. Most days, we are busy just folding and unfolding cloth for people who stop by. We started out small and stayed that way because it works for us. My family handles most of the daily tasks. We know the neighbors and the other shopkeepers around the Mori well. It gets quite hot in the summer with the sun hitting the front of the store, so we keep the fans running all day. People come to us for basic materials they need for their clothes or home projects. We don't have fancy displays or anything like that. It is just rolls of fabric and us behind the counter. Sometimes the inventory gets a bit messy when we have a lot of customers at once, but we straighten it out by evening. If you are ever near the Hawa Mahal area, you will probably see our sign. We keep things simple and just try to provide what people are looking for without making a big fuss about it. That is how we have always done things here.
