Walking through Bapu Bazar can be a bit much if you aren't used to the crowds. Our shop, Liberty Pen Palace, is at number 175. It isn't a huge space, but we have pens tucked into every corner and drawer we could find. I think people forget how much a good pen matters until they actually hold one that writes smooth. We've been here for years, watching the market change around us. Some of the old shops are gone now, replaced by newer ones, but we’re still here doing our thing. The shelves are a bit old and maybe they could use a coat of paint, but they hold the stock just fine. Most days start with me dusting off the glass counters. It’s a habit now. We get all kinds of people coming in—students looking for something cheap for exams and older folks who want a fountain pen like they used to use. I don't try to push anything on anyone. If you want a pen, you can try it out on a scrap of paper first. That’s the only way to know if it feels right in your hand. The light in the back of the shop is a bit dim, but it’s quiet enough to focus. Bapu Bazar is noisy, but once you step inside, it feels a little different. Just a simple shop for people who still like the feeling of writing things down.
