You can find S R Textiles & Handicraft over on Hawa Mahal Road. We are specifically located at Khaws Ji Ka Rasta. It’s a very old part of town, so the streets are narrow and always full of life. Being near the Hawa Mahal means there are always tourists and locals walking past. Our shop is filled with all sorts of fabrics and handmade items. It’s a bit cramped inside because we try to display as much as we can on the walls and shelves. We’ve been in this spot for a long time. The building itself has that old character you only find in this part of the city. We don't really have a website or anything like that. People usually just find us by walking through the rasta. We spend our days talking to visitors and showing them what we have. Sometimes we sit on the cushions on the floor to work or drink chai. It’s a very traditional way of doing things. The colors of the textiles are bright, and it makes the shop look cheerful even on cloudy days. We source a lot of the handicrafts from local makers. It’s not a big company structure. Just a few of us making sure the shop stays open and the stock is full. If you’re ever near the palace, you’ll likely pass right by us. We are always here from morning until late evening, just keeping the traditions going.
