Roshan Food Products

Roshan Food Products is located over at 81, Laxmi Nagar, right on Hatwara Road in Sodala. If you’re walking by, you can usually smell whatever we’re working on that day. It’s a busy little spot. We spend most of our time in the back where the actual work happens. There are bags of ingredients stacked up and a lot of stainless steel around. My apron is never clean for more than ten minutes. We start early, usually before the sun is really up, to get things moving. The neighborhood in Laxmi Nagar is pretty lived-in and narrow, so getting deliveries in and out can be a bit of a headache with the traffic on Hatwara Road. We have a small team here. Everyone knows what they have to do. One person handles the packing while another keeps an eye on the machines. It gets loud and hot, especially in the summer months. We don't have a big fancy sign or anything, just the work we do. There’s a small desk where we keep the receipts and take orders over the phone. Sometimes the neighbors pop in just to say hello. It's a simple operation. We focus on getting the food products bagged and ready to go. Nothing fancy about it, just a lot of hard work and making sure things are done right before they leave the door.
