Ramjidas Rameshwar Das is located right in the middle of Ramganj Bazar at number 318. This is one of those old-school places that has been around for quite a long time. Ramganj Bazar is famous for being crowded and lively, and our shop is right in the thick of it. We deal in the kind of traditional business you’d expect in this part of the city. The shop at 318 isn’t very large, but it’s full of history and the smell of the market. We spend our days dealing with customers who often know our family from years back. There is no corporate structure here; it’s just us doing the work, sitting on the floor or on small benches, and talking to whoever comes in. We handle everything manually, from the ledgers to the packing. The street outside is always full of rickshaws and people shouting, but inside the shop, we try to keep things orderly. It’s a lot of hard work, especially during the festival seasons when the whole bazar goes crazy. We don’t have a website or any modern marketing. People know where we are because we’ve been at 318 for so long. We just focus on giving people what they need and keeping our reputation in the market. It’s a very traditional way of doing business, and we wouldn't have it any other way. Each day is much like the last, and we are happy to be here.
