If you are ever on Station Road, you will probably see our place right in front of the Punjab National Bank. Ram Dhan Khandelwal has been operating from this spot for quite some time now. Being across from a bank means there is always a crowd nearby, especially in the mornings when the bank opens. Our shop is a bit traditional. We have wooden counters and shelves that go all the way up the walls. It’s the kind of place where things are kept in their specific spots, even if it looks a bit disorganized to someone else. We deal with people face-to-face every day. It’s not just about the business; it’s about the conversations we have with the locals who stop in. Sometimes people just come in to escape the rain or the heat for a minute. We don't have a big marketing plan or a corporate strategy. We just open the shutters in the morning and wait to see who comes through the door. The sound of the trains isn't too far off, and you can always hear the traffic on Station Road. It’s a busy, cramped, and lively place to work. We take pride in just being a constant presence in the neighborhood. We know our customers by name, and they know us. It’s a simple way of doing things, but it has worked for us for years.
