Our restaurant, Handi, is sitting on Plot No-18 in Nemi Nagar. It’s right at the Gautam Marg Gandhi Path Mode in Vaishali Nagar, Jaipur. This part of town, 302021, has grown a lot lately with new buildings everywhere. We’ve been here through much of that change. It’s a straightforward kind of place. We have a kitchen that stays pretty hot all day, and a dining area that we try to keep cool for the guests who come in. There’s no big corporate office behind us; it’s just us working here every single day. We get a lot of local families from the Vaishali Nagar area. They come in because they know what they’re getting when they sit down. The name Handi is what’s on the door, and that’s what people call us. We spend our mornings getting the ingredients ready and making sure the place is clean before opening. It’s a lot of chopping and prep work before the first customer even arrives. The street outside can be a bit dusty sometimes, but we try to keep the inside tidy. We don’t have a lot of fancy marketing stuff or big signs. We just focus on the food and making sure people have a place to sit. It’s a regular job for us. Some days we are really busy with every table full, and other days it’s just a few people. We’ve gotten to know the neighborhood well over the years. It’s a nice enough spot to be in Jaipur.
