Our place is at 1527, Bagru Walon Ka Rasta in the Chandpole Bazar area. It’s one of those narrow streets where you have to be careful not to bump into anyone when you’re carrying boxes. We do a lot of trading, which mostly means we spend our time on the phone or checking the stock we have in the back. The building is old and has that specific smell of dust and paper that stays with you. We have piles of goods stacked up, and sometimes it feels like we’re running out of room, but we always manage to fit one more thing in. Chandpole is always bustling, and being in Bagru Walon Ka Rasta means we are right in the thick of it. We see a lot of the same delivery guys every day and we’ve gotten to know their schedules. The lights inside aren't very bright, so we sometimes have to take things near the door to see them clearly. It’s a simple business without any big corporate rules or anything like that. We just buy what we need and sell it to the people who ask for it. Sometimes the weather makes things difficult, like when it rains and we have to move everything away from the entrance. We just keep at it, day after day, making sure the ledgers are balanced and the items are sorted out properly. It's just a regular trading life, nothing too exciting. We drink a lot of chai and talk to the neighbors between the orders.
