Karwa Trading Co

Our place is over on Road No 3 in the VKIA area. It’s an industrial part of town, so there is always a lot of dust and trucks moving around outside. We’ve been running Karwa Trading Co from this spot for a while now. It’s not a fancy setup or anything, just a solid building where we keep our stock and do our daily work. Most mornings start with opening the heavy shutters and checking what needs to go out. The office gets quite warm in the summer, even with the fan going full speed. We spend a lot of time on the phone with suppliers or talking to drivers. My father actually started things in a much smaller way, and now I’m the one handling the paperwork and the day-to-day stuff. We don’t really have a big team, just a few of us who know where everything is kept. It can get a bit disorganized when a lot of items come in at once, but we eventually sort it out. We usually get tea from the stall at the corner twice a day. It’s a simple routine. We don’t do much in terms of advertising because people who need us usually know where to find us on this road. We just focus on getting the trading done and heading home when the sun goes down. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy enough throughout the year.
