Rajasthan Traditional

You’ll find Rajasthan Traditional at number 133, very close to the L M B Hotel in Johari Bazar. This area is famous for a reason, and being right in the heart of it means there’s never a dull moment. The noise from the rickshaws and the tourists is just part of the background music for us now. We’ve been in this spot for a good number of years, watching the bazar change while we stay mostly the same. Our shop is filled with the kind of stuff you’d expect from a place named after this region, but we don't treat it like a museum. It’s a working shop where things get moved around and the floor gets swept twice a day because of the dust. We don't have a big corporate strategy or a five-year plan. We just open the shutters in the morning and see who the day brings in. Sometimes it’s a lot of people, and sometimes it’s just the regulars stopping by for a chat. The space is a bit old-fashioned, with high ceilings and shelves that reach all the way up, requiring a ladder more often than not. We aren't trying to impress anyone with fancy talk, we just know our products and where everything is kept. It’s a busy life in Johari Bazar, but we wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. It’s just how we run things here every single day.
