We are located over at 41-A, Shahpura Bagh, which is just off Amber Road. It’s an interesting spot to be in because of all the history around this part of the city. At Rajasthan Gems Development Corporation, the day starts pretty early with us looking over stones and getting paperwork sorted. It isn't always exciting work, a lot of it is just checking details and making sure everything is where it should be. We deal with gems and stones that come from all over, but we keep our main office here in the Bagh. The building is older and has its own character, which we prefer over those new glass offices you see everywhere now. You’ll find us mostly stuck at our desks or talking to people who come in with questions about what we do. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to do a decent job and keep the legacy of this trade going in our own small way. The traffic on Amber Road can be a bit much in the afternoons, but once you step inside, it’s usually quiet enough to get some real work done. We’ve been at this for a while and have seen many people come and go. It’s a steady life and we’re happy to be part of the local gem trade here. It is just a regular office doing regular business.
