We are located at 12 Sansar Chandra Road, right inside the Khandelwal Market. This part of the city is always moving, and Sansar Chandra Road is famous for being a hub for transport companies. Our shop is small and usually filled with stacks of waybills and registers. There’s a lot of shouting and noise from the market outside as people load up their tempos. We’ve been in this market for a long time, so we know most of the other shop owners around here. It’s a very practical kind of place. We don't have air conditioning, just a ceiling fan that’s been wobbling for years. People come to us when they need to send something and they want to make sure it actually gets there. We spend a lot of time on the phone, checking on deliveries and talking to loaders. The floor is often covered in bits of string and scrap paper from the packages. It gets very busy in the evenings when everyone is trying to get their goods out before the trucks leave. We don't have a mission statement or any of that corporate talk. We just try to get the work done and go home to our families. It’s a simple life of managing cargo and making sure the numbers in our books add up at the end of the day.
