Narulas Ice Cream

In Raja Park Main Market, things stay lively until late at night. Our shop, Narulas Ice Cream, is right in the middle of all that action. It is a simple place with a few benches and the sound of the freezers humming in the back. During the summer, it gets quite hectic here. We spend a lot of time wiping down the glass and making sure the scoops are clean. Families walk over after dinner, and kids usually can't decide what they want, so there is often a bit of a line. We don't have any big speeches to give about what we do. We just keep the ice cream cold and serve it in cups or cones. The lights in the market are bright, and you can hear the cars and bikes going by constantly. Being in Raja Park, we see a lot of the same neighbors every week. Sometimes we run out of a certain flavor and have to tell people to wait until the next delivery. It is just a local spot where people come to cool off for a bit. We keep the floors swept and the lights on until the market starts to quiet down. It’s a straightforward job, really. You stand behind the counter, talk to the customers, and keep the machines running. It’s been like this for a while now, and we just keep at it every single day, no matter how busy the street gets.
