Maruti Bearings

Maruti Bearings is over at G-14 in the Vinayak Complex on Station Road. It is a crowded part of town, always lots of noise from the trains and the people rushing to catch them. We have been here for a bit, dealing mostly in all kinds of bearings for machinery and vehicles. The shop is small and packed with boxes from floor to ceiling. Finding a specific part sometimes takes a minute if it's buried in the back. Most of our days are spent talking to mechanics or factory guys who come in looking for a specific size that nobody else seems to have in stock. Station Road is a tough place to park, so most customers just double-park for a second to run in. We don't do any big fancy displays or loud ads. It is just a counter, some stools, and a lot of steel parts. Sometimes the tea stall next door brings over a cup and we sit and talk about how the market is moving. It gets hot in the summer inside the complex, but the fans keep things moving. We just try to keep the most common bearings ready so people don't have to wait. It’s a simple life running a shop like this, focusing on the hardware and the people who need it to keep their own machines running. There is always a lot of grease and dust on the hands by the end of the day. We don't have much of a staff, just a couple of us doing the work.
