Vastra

We have been running Vastra here at No. 94/189 on Tulsi Marg for quite some time now. It is tucked away near Vijay Path in Mansarovar. It is not a very big shop, just a regular place where we keep different kinds of clothes and fabrics. Most days it is just us sitting here, waiting for people from the neighborhood to drop by. We started this because we knew a bit about textiles and wanted a place of our own. The shop gets a bit crowded when new bundles arrive, and sometimes it takes a while to find exactly what a customer is looking for in the stacks. We do not have any fancy displays or bright lights like the big stores in the city. It is just a plain room with shelves and a lot of stock. Sometimes the street gets noisy outside, but inside we just focus on the work. We know most of the people who walk through the door by their names. It feels more like a community spot than a business sometimes. We open up early and stay until late evening, just like everyone else on this road. There is nothing too special about how we do things. We just try to provide what people need without making a big fuss about it. If you are ever around Mansarovar, you will see us there near the corner. It is just a simple, practical way to make a living for our small family.
