Laxmi Machine Toos

Working out of Tonk Road keeps us pretty busy because the traffic never really stops. Laxmi Machine Toos has been sitting on this stretch for quite some time. We deal with tools and machinery every single day. It’s dusty work and your hands are rarely clean, but it’s what we know how to do. The shop isn't some big showroom with bright lights. It’s more of a practical space where we store our stock and talk to customers who know exactly what they need. Most people who stop by are looking for specific parts or a tool that can handle a tough job. We just show them what we have on the shelf. Sometimes we have to order things in if it’s something unusual. Tonk Road is a good spot because everyone passes through here eventually. We open up early and usually stay until the sun goes down. There’s always some noise from the street, but you get used to it after a week or two. We aren't big on fancy talk. If a tool works, it works. We just try to keep a decent variety so folks don't have to drive all over the city. It’s just me and a couple of others keeping the place running. We drink a lot of tea and wait for the next person to walk in. That’s how it is here. I usually keep the ledger under the counter and write things down by hand because it’s faster and easier.
