Krishna Transport

Krishna Transport is located out on Sikar Road, right by the Jodla Power House. If you know the Jaipur Road area, you know how much traffic passes through here every single day. It’s a noisy spot with trucks rumbling by at all hours. We spend a lot of time just sitting in the office, waiting for drivers to check in or for phone calls about loads. The dust from the road gets everywhere, no matter how much we clean the desks. Being near the power house makes it easy to give directions to people who haven't been here before. We have a few chairs for drivers to rest on while they wait for their paperwork to get sorted out. It isn't a fancy office with air conditioning or anything like that, just a ceiling fan that works most of the time. My cousin usually helps me with the registers in the morning. We drink a lot of tea and talk to the other guys working along this stretch of the road. Sometimes the power goes out, which is funny since we are so close to the station, but we just keep working by the light from the door. It’s mostly about making sure the trucks are moving and the addresses are correct. Sikar Road is always busy, so there is always something to look at out the front window while we wait for the next job to come in.
