Koolwal Handicrafts

In the Malviya Nagar area of Jaipur, we have our setup at C-194 in the J.D.A. Colony. It’s a decent spot in the city, not too far from the main roads but tucked away enough to avoid the worst of the traffic. Koolwal Handicrafts has been operating out of here for some time now. The office is usually a bit messy with samples and papers scattered around. We don't really go for the high-end boutique look. It’s more of a functional space where we manage the business side of things. Jaipur is known for its crafts, and being in Malviya Nagar puts us in a good position to keep an eye on everything. We spend our days on the phone or responding to emails, often with a cup of tea nearby. The colony is quiet during the day when everyone is at work. We have a few cupboards full of old records and some interesting pieces we’ve collected over the years. The walls are a bit plain, and the floor could use a good scrub, but we are too busy to worry about that. We just focus on the handicrafts and the people who make them. It’s a practical, everyday kind of place. We don't have a fancy mission statement; we just show up at the 302017 office and get to work until it’s time to go home. It’s just how we do things here in Jaipur without any extra fuss.
